Charles E. BRADLEY, 80, of Fairfield, died this morning, Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Charles Edwin BRADLEY

Charles Edwin BRADLEY, 80, of Fairfield, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Cards and memorials may be sent to 200 S. Sixth St., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. BRADLEY was born March 3, 1931, in Fairfield, the son of Fred and Nevada SHONDELL BRADLEY. He married Janet Elizabeth WRIGHT Aug. 4, 1951, in Mount Pleasant. She died Aug. 10, 2010.

Mr. BRADLEY served with the Iowa Army National Guard. He was a purchasing agent at Parsons College until it closed and was a welder for Dexter Laundry Company.

Mr. BRADLEY enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed outdoor sports.

Survivors include two daughters: Sonia SOTOMAYOR and husband Cesar of Fairfield and Nancy McTEE and husband Jerry of Gadsden, Ala.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven siblings: Tom BRADLEY of Fairfield, Jack BRADLEY of Fairfield, Jerry BRADLEY of Mount Pleasant, Linda VORHIES of Fairfield, Ann EDWARDS of Washington, Ronald BRADLEY of Red Lion, Pa., and John BRADLEY of Palm Coast, Fla.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Jim BRADLEY, Richard BRADLEY and Phyllis KELTON.
