David C. RAMBO

LIBERTYVILLE - The funeral service for David C. RAMBO, 67, of Libertyville, who died at 8:20 a.m. Friday at Jefferson County Hospital, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Kaufmann will officiate.

Burial with military rites will be in Evergreen Cemetery (sic. lot 3rd.022). Friends may call after 1 p.m. today until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the family.

RAMBO was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Douds, the son of Argus L. and Edna E. MORROW RAMBO. He married Rosemary HOOTMAN Sept. 14, 1947, and she survives.

RAMBO lived most of his life in Jefferson County and also lived in Douds. He was a truck driver and a farmer before his retirement.

A veteran of the United States Army, RAMBO served in World War II. He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 1927.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald L. RAMBO and Jerome RAMBO of Libertyville, and David C. RAMBO Jr. of Batavia; four daughters, Connie L. SIMONS, Colleen ESSARY and Edna M. RAMBO of Fairfield, and Rosemary FRITTS of Libertyville; 15 grandchildren; and one brother, George L. RAMBO of Baraboo, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
