Robert Francis WYSONG

Robert Francis WYSONG, 62, of Libertyville, died Sunday morning, March 13, 2011, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen C. Page officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, where a Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to ARC of East Central Iowa for Mr. WYSONG's special needs granddaughter Julie, to Good Samaritan Society Hospice of Ottumwa or to St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. Memorials may be mailed to 1843 Libertyville Road, Libertyville 52567, or may be left at the funeral home.

Mr. WYSONG was born July 20, 1948, in Perry, the son of Robert Vernon and Perrinne Yvonne HENAUFFE (sic -WYSONG). He married Marge STRECK July 12, 1969, at St. Theresa Church in Des Moines.

Mr. WYSONG graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1966 and from Drake University in 1972. He worked as a claims adjuster for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company for 31 years. He worked as a survey technician for French-Rekener-Associates Inc. before his retirement.

Mr. WYSONG was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield and Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed outdoor activities from Canadian fishing trips to deer, caribou, moose and antelope hunting with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jennifer BISHOP and husband Joe of Cedar Rapids and Anne CROWNER and husband Quentin of Ankeny; four grandchildren; his mother of Indianola; and two brothers, Jean WYSONG of Carlisle and Bernard WYSONG of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his father.
