BATAVIA -- Dr. DEAN, an old and respected citizen, and a former citizen of Fairfield, passed away about ten days ago (sic - May 15th). He was taken to Salina for burial. All the older citizens of Fairfield will recollect Dr. DEAN and will mourn his loss as he was a very exemplary man. All of his children, one son and five daughters, all of whom are married and have families, were at his funeral.

Note: Buried in Chilcott Cemetery. His wife, Harriet CHILCOTT, died in 1900 and is buried there with him.
