Page 3, Column 6ANOTHER PIONEER GONE.
In the death of Agrippa HENDERSON, which occured at Thos. Baird's, near Batavia, on the 30th ult., Jefferson County lost another of her pioneer sttlers, one who has resided here since 1848. Mr. HENDERSON was in the 86th year of his age, and was a native of North Carolina. He was an old and much respected citizen of this county and ever was widely esteemed by those who knew him. Six children still survive their aged father, all of whom have taken an active part in Jefferson County affairs. The funeral occurred Saturday....

*1966* Mr. Roy E. CURRAY, LaJolla, California, great-grandson of Agrippa and Leatha HENDERSON, tells us the marriage bond of Agrippa HENDERSON and Leatha ETCHESON, dated 16 May 1818, is of record in Rowan County, North Carolina. Bondsman, Sillis EYTCHESON.
Note: Buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery with wife Leatha who died in 1877; he on the north side of their monument, she on the south.
