Andrew GREGG was born near Brownsville, Washington County, Penn., November 19th 1798. In early life he was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which he was a faithful member until he was transferred from the church militant to the church triumphant, on the 29th day of March, 1872, aged 73 years 8 months and 7 days. He was the father of nine children, four of them having preceded him to the heavenly land. the last three years of his life were spent in constant suffering..... He leaves a widow and five daughters.

Note: Andrew is buried in Gregg Cemetery. His gravestone indicates he died March 28th, 1872, aged 73-4-9. His wife was Elizabeth GREGORY who died in 1884.

Mrs. W. G. Corbitt, Portland, Oregon, advises that Henry GREGG, father of Andrew GREGG, was born in Ireland; died 1833 in Pennsylvania. His wife was Jane DOWLER, who died in 1834, in Belmont County, Ohio. The father of Henry GREGG (grandfather of Andrew) was William GREGG, born in Ireland; married in Ireland, Mary ______; died 1811 East Pike Run Township, Washington County, Penn.
