"BRIGHTON NEWS.
Mr. Chas. Tolbert died Tues. at Jefferson County Hospital age 68. Hoskins Funeral Home, in Brighton. Leaves a three year old son who makes his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hoskins. Mr. T. was married twice, first wife was a sister of K. M. Elmore of Brighton; she died a number of years ago. His second wife was Miss Grace Hoskins, who died about 3 years ago. Funeral Thurs. afternoon at Friends Church, Pleasant Plain; burial in Pleasant Plain Cemeterey."

"PLEASANT PLAIN.
Charles Oscar Talbert, son of Thomas and Juliann Talbert, was born Dec. 22, 1868, died Jan. 26, 1932 age 63-1-4. Born near Pleasant Plain, Iowa, and spent almost his entire life in Jefferson County. In 1904 married Rose Elmore who died 1925. Later he married Grace Hoskins, who also has died. To this union one son Charles Richard who, with the exception of one sister, Mrs. Frank McMurray of Pleasant Plain and her family, is the only surviving relative."
