"Mrs. James N. Coil.
Amanda E. Elmore was born in Jefferson Co., Tenn., Aug. 9 1857; married to James N. Coil May 31 1874; husband died Nov 18 1883. Five children: Levi M., William A., who died in infancy; James M. whose whereabouts is unknown; Amos J., and Fred. She came to Iowa in Dec. 1883 and on Feb. 13 1889 was again married to Wm. Pickering who died Mar. 12 1906. To this union three children: Jesse L., Lawrence D., and Millie R. She died Sept 15 1925 age 68-1-6. . . . .Interment in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery."
