"Ellis Pickering, son of David and Agnes, born near Pleasant Plain Mar. 31 1852; married Mary Stokesburg Aug 12 1852 (?); 3 children, Earl and Merle who reside with their mother near Ollie, Iowa; a daughter Ethel having preceded him in death. Also survived by a sister, Mrs. B. R. Hoskins of Pleasant Plain, a sister and a brother having preceded him in death. Bapt. Church. Bur. Friends Cemetery, Pleasant Plain."
