Doris Lucile SEPTER LAWRENCE, 92, of Mount Pleasant, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Park Place Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Houston Sears and the Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Salem East Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2-4 p.m.
A memorial has been established to Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. LAWRENCE was born Nov. 16, 1918, in rural Stockport, the daughter of Edwin L. and Mary WILLIS WILLIAMSON. She married Lloyd SEPTER April 3, 1937, in Kahoka, Mo. He died May 2, 1970. She married Merle LAWRENCE Sept. 24, 1978, at Round Prairie Baptist Church. He died Aug. 27, 1985.
Mrs. LAWRENCE attended school in the rural Glasgow and Round Prairie area. She graduated from Salem High School in 1937. She worked as a clerk at Spurgeons and John Green Department Stores. She was part manager at Haworth Motor Company in Mount Pleasant and at Department of Social Services, from which she retired in 1979.
Mrs. LAWRENCE was a member of First Baptist Church, Round Prairie Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. She was involved in women's mission groups and the widow's ladies group at Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. LAWRENCE enjoyed taking care of her home and family, helping her husband on the farm and babysitting her grandchildren and the children of other family friends. She also enjoyed sewing clothing and costumes, doing crafts of all types, reading and going for car rides.
Survivors include her four children: Earnestine HARVEY of Salem, Retha SAMMONS and husband Don of Salem, Ronald SEPTER and wife Judy of Mount Pleasant and Janice MILLER and husband Jim of Fulton, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter: Ruth; one granddaughter; one son and daughter-in-law: Earnest and Shirley SEPTER; one brother: Carl WILLIAMSON; and one son-in-law, Wayne HARVEY.
