Mrs. Ralph STOUT Dies Suddenly

Mrs. Ralph STOUT, 61½ S. Court St., died suddenly at her home this afternoon.

Death was believed due to a heart attack. Mrs. STOUT had called her physician to report that she was not feeling well. He found her dead upon arrival and called County Coroner Jack Raymond.

Mrs. STOUT was the former Blanche GILCHRIST. She is survived by a son, Dayne STOUT, Albuquerque, N. M., one grandson, and a brother Wayne GILCHRIST, Fairfield. Her husband, Ralph STOUT preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1955.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral home.

Mrs. STOUT Rites Planned Tuesday

Last rites for Mrs. Ralph STOUT, 60, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church in charge of Dr. J. Henry Teele. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. STOUT died suddenly at 1 p.m. Friday after suffering a heart attack at her home, 61½ S. Court St. She had been a resident of Fairfield for 20 years.

The former Blanche GILCHRIST, Mrs. STOUT was born Dec. 6, 1895 near Keosauqua, the daughter of James R. and Ludema PATRICK GILCHRIST. She was married to Ralph STOUT Feb. 24, 1915 at Keosauqua. He preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1955.

Mrs. STOUT was a member of the First Methodist church and recently served as secretary of Christian social relations of the Women’s Society of Christian Service of the Iowa-Des Moines conference. She was also a member of the White Shrine, Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one son, Dayne STOUT, Albuquerque, N. M.; one grandson; and one brother, Wayne GILCHRIST, Fairfield. Three brothers are deceased.

The body will lie in state at the Weston Behner Funeral home from Monday afternoon to Tuesday noon when it will be taken to the church.
