Services for the former Velma STALLMAN will be here Saturday
Mrs. Walter STOUSE, 27, former resident of Fairfield, passed away at a hospital in Burlington Thursday morning where she underwent a major operation last Saturday. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred STALLMAN of this city.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the First Methodist church here in Fairfield. Rev. Parker, of Burlington, and Rev. A. P. Keast, pastor of the local church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Services will also be held at 1 p.m. the same afternoon at the Prugh funeral home in Burlington.
Mrs. Velma STOUSE was born January 21, 1916, at Little Cedar, Iowa. She moved to Fairfield with her parents at the age of six and lived in this city until 1934. She graduated from the Fairfield high school in 1933. She was a member of the Friendship Sunday school class in that church.
She was united in marriage June 6, 1934, to Walter STOUSE. They moved to Burlington in 1938 after residing in Albia and Chariton for a short time.
Mrs. STOUSE is survived by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred STALLMAN, Fairfield; one sister, Ruth STALLMAN, Davenport; two grandmothers, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Note: Buried in Lot 3rd.077. Husband Walter is not buried in Jefferson County. There is a Walter F. STOUSE in the Social Security Death Index who was born Nov. 23, 1912, and died Jan. 22, 2001. If this is the correct Walter, his last address was Union, MO.
