DEATH CLAIMS AMY SCHEFFEL

Death came late last night to a long-time resident of Fairfield. She is Amy SCHEFFEL, 65, who passed away at 11:55 p.m. at 105 W. Adams street where she made her home with her sister, Iva SCHEFFEL. She had been in failing health since 1938.

Last rite (sic) will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery northwest of Mt. Pleasant (note: Henry Co.).

Amy SCHEFFEL was born August 31, 1887, in Fairfield county, Colo., the daughter of the late Jacob and Etta LYON SCHEFFEL. She was a member of the Methodist church, Philathea Sunday school class and the D. A. R.

She was graduated from the Fairfield high school in 1906, received her A. B. degree from Parsons college in 1910 and her M. A. degree from the University of Iowa in 1924.

Miss SCHEFFEL is survived by one sister, Iva SCHEFFEL, Fairfield; an aunt, Mrs. F. S. DALLNER, Fairfield, and several cousins.
