DEATH TAKES MRS. NELSON

Mrs. C. P. NELSON, 78, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away this morning at her home, 704 E. Adams street at 5:30 a.m. She took seriously ill about 4 a.m. and died shortly after.

Christina NELSON was born August 15, 1869, in Illinois. She was married April 4, 1888 to Charles P. NELSON who preceded her in death October 9, 1946. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

Mrs. NELSON is survived by the following children: Albert E., Long Beach, California; Ralph D., Muscatine; Roy N., Froid, Montana; Vern S. and Carl O., both of Fairfield. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Martha TRACY preceded her in death on January 2, 1947. She was also preceded in death by three sons who died in infancy.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are pending.
