DEATH CLAIMS MRS. HORTON

Death came this morning to Mrs. Clifford HORTON, well known Jefferson county farm resident. She passed away at the Jefferson county hospital about 8 a.m. after a serious illness for the past six months.

Last rites will be held at the Hoskins funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Mark Weston and the Rev. H. W. Kinzer in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Hattie Elizabeth HORTON, 52, was born Sept. 11, 1900, in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary ANDERSON CRILE. She was united in marriage on Jan. 28, 1922, to Clifford HORTON who preceded his wife in death on May 14, 1951.

A member of the Clara Lutheran church of Salina, Mrs. HORTON lived her entire life in Jefferson county, and her entire married life on a farm south of Glendale.

She is survived by the following children: Wilbur HORTON, Fairfield; Mrs. Carl JOHNSON, Vacaville, Calif.; Carroll and Ruth Evelyn, both at home. She is also survived by two grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mabel CAIN, Plattville, Colo.; Fred CRILE, Fremont, Ohio; Andrew CRILE, Fairfield; Mrs. Dale PHILLIPS, Revere, Mo.; Clarence CRILE, Fairfield, and Clyde CRILE, Wellman.
