Page 3, Column 5DIES FRIDAY AT HIS HOME
Dallas M. GREEN, 79, life-time resident of Jefferson county, passed away last night at his home, four and a half miles east of Fairfield. His death came at 9:45 p.m. Mr. GREEN took suddenly ill Tuesday morning and never recovered.
Last rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bethesda church with Rev. Merle Hill in charge. Burial will be in Bethesda cemetery. The body is at the Hoskins funeral home.
Mr. GREEN was born October 23, 1868, in Jefferson county. He was the son of the late Alonzo J. and Ruth COLLINS GREEN. He was united in marriage December 31, 1896, to Pearl McCORMICK, who survives.
Mr. GREEN had been a farmer all his life, and had lived on the same farm during his entire married life. He was well known in his community.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gala HOLGATE, Belmond, Iowa; Mrs. Elsie LENHART and Mrs. Cecil WHITAKER, both of Fairfield. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a brother, Harlan GREEN, Mountain Lake, Minneosta (sic); three sisters, Mrs. Myrtha CHARLTON, Fairfield; Mrs. Florence CONNOR, Los Angeles; Mrs. Pearl LEATHERS, Fairfield.
Mr. GREEN was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Will CHARLTON and Mrs. Iredale HOSKINS.
