MRS. CUMMINGS DIES IN WEST

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred CUMMINGS, Ft. Collins, Colo., will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the Methodist church in Fairfield.

Mrs. CUMMINGS, the former Mrs. C. M. GRAHAM, died Monday afternoon at her home in Ft. Collins. A well-known former resident, she made her home in Fairfield for more than 30 years before moving to Colorado.

Local services will be conducted by Dr. L. L. Weis. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Rites will also be held in Ft. Collins tomorrow. The body will arrive at the Weston Behner Funeral home here Friday morning.

Mrs. CUMMINGS was an active businesswoman during her years in Fairfield and also took part in many civic and music organizations. She was associated with the local Spurgeon’s store from its opening in 1912 until she resigned in 1947.

Her first husband, C. M. GRAHAM, managed the Spurgeon’s store for many years prior to his death Nov. 1, 1936.

Mrs. CUMMINGS was married to Fred CUMMINGS of Ft. Collins Oct. 5, 1947, in Fairfield. They had made their home in Ft. Collins since that time. Mr. CUMMINGS, who survives, is a prominent Colorado resident and served as congressman from the second district of that state for eight years.

Mrs. CUMMINGS is the former Ina GARNETTE (sic – GARNETT). In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Arthur GRAHAM, Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Ruby CAVE, Ft. Collins, Colo., and one brother, Alvin GARNETTE (sic), Kansas City, Mo.
