Brett Lockridge TUCKER

Brett Lockridge TUCKER, 56, of Colfax, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Coburn Funeral Home of Colfax.

Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Brett Tucker Memorial Fund, and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

Mr. TUCKER was born July 23, 1954, in Fairfield, the son of Joe and Shirley LOCKRIDGE TUCKER.

Mr. TUCKER had lived in Fairfield; Newport Beach, Calif.; Red Oak, Louisville, Ky,; and Danville, Ill. He graduated from Fern Creek High School in Louisville, Ky., and attended college for three years at Western Kentucky University of Bowling Green, Ky. He lived in Danville, Ill., for 26 years and was employed at Bohn Aluminum and Brass for 20 years. In 2002, he moved to Colfax. He had worked at the Colfax Golf Course for five years.

Mr. TUCKER enjoyed the outdoors. He also liked golfing, fishing, mushroom hunting, grilling and playing pool. He was a fan of NASCAR, the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bears.

Survivors include his mother of Colfax; one sister, Sherri Jo TUCKER STRASKO of Oskaloosa; one daughter, Ann SAWYER of Danville, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his infant sister, father and grandparents, Ruth TUCKER and Shibe and Gladys LOCKRIDGE.
