"RICHLAND, IOWA. Stacy McCracken, 82, a native of the Richland area, died Mon. in Pueblo, Colo. Services will be held Friday near Denver, Colo. McCracken was born in the Woolson community of Jefferson County, Oct 25 1882, son of William and Rebecca Jones McCracken. He attended Pleasant Plain Friends Academy and graduated from William Penn College. He was married to Carrie Pringle in 1907. She preceded him in death. He was associated with many different colleges as instructor and financial assistant. Later he was active in business in Denver. Surviving are one son, Landon McCracken, Salem, Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Beard, Pueblo, Colo.; and the following brothers and sisters: Dymond, Sumner and Rufus McCracken, all of Richland; Duane McCracken, Mankato, Minn.; and Mrs. Tirza Mealey, Whittier, Calif. Dymond McCracken will attend the funeral services."
