L. D. GRAHAM PASSED AWAY AT IOWA CITY

Well known Fairfield resident in poor health several months

Lonnie D. GRAHAM, a resident of Fairfield for 54 years, passed away this morning at the University hospital in Iowa City. Although he had been in poor health his death was sudden.

Mr. GRAHAM had been in failing health since August, 1942. As his condition became worse, he was taken to the hospital in Iowa City on February 23 of this year.

Mr. GRAHAM, or "Lonnie" as he was known to his many friends, was well known in Fairfield, having been employed in the Long Cigar Store for several years. More recently he was employed as clerk in the State liquor store in Fairfield before his health failed.

He was born January 6, 1887, in Rome, Iowa. He moved to Fairfield with his parents when he was two years old and has made his home in this city since. For the past four years he had made his home with his twin sister, Mrs. William S. JOHNSON (sic. Lonia B GRAHAM JOHNSON), 203 East Hempstead. His wife preceded him in death March 3, 1939.

Mr. GRAHAM is survived by the following children: Mrs. Hugh PARRY, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Donald GITHENS, Crawfordsville, Iowa; Mrs. Darrell SINN, Fairfield; and Lt. Milton GRAHAM, an instructor in the army air corps stationed at Luke Field, Phoenix, Arizona.

Two sisters, Mrs. Charles O. CARTER and Mrs. Lonia JOHNSON, both of Fairfield; one brother, W. T. GRAHAM, Longmount, Colo.; two grandchildren, Sandra GITHENS and Billie Sue PARRY, also survive.

The body was brought to the Hoskins funeral home late this afternoon where funeral arrangements are pending.
