Russell 'Russ' E. LOCK

Russell "Russ" E. LOCK, 84, of Liberty, Mo., formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011.

Memorials may be made to the Corum Chapter of Sons of the American Revoution. Condolences may be left at www.churcharcherpasley.com.

Arrangements were in the care of D.W. Newcomer's Sons Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, Liberty, Mo.

Mr. LOCK was born in Mason City. He married Juanita P. BERG. She preceded him in death in 2003.

Mr. LOCK attended Iowa State University and had been employed with De Laval Inc. as a legal assistant from January 1950 until his retirement June 1, 1990. During his tenure, he traveled extensively in Europe. After his retirement, he established a De Laval Retirees quarterly newsletter.

Mr. LOCK is a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps.

He was a member of the Corum Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution and served as the chapter president for five years. He served on the ARC Board for many years.

Mr. LOCK enjoyed making music boxes and other wooden items.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Russell LOCK of Kansas City, Mo.
