Helen DAVIS Dies At 83

Helen B. WILLIAMSON DAVIS, Fairfield Route 3, died suddenly Monday at 2:35 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week. She was 83.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. J. E. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Raymond Funeral Home Wednesday after 3 p.m.

Mrs. DAVIS was born Oct. 19, 1892 in Decatur County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert BRAMMER. She was reared in that county and attended Drake University (sic. Drake University is in Des Moines, Iowa).

She was married Dec. 25, 1912 in Grand River, Iowa, to Sam P. WILLIAMSON. The couple came to Fairfield in 1929 when the Rev. WILLIAMSON began his pastorate at the First Christian Church. He died Nov. 6, 1957.

On Dec. 28, 1967, Mrs. DAVIS was married to Mac DAVIS. He preceded his wife in death July 11, 1973.

Mrs. DAVIS was a member of the First Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was also affiliated with White Shrine, Rebekah Lodge, Chapter MB, PEO and Wit and Wisdom Club.

Surviving are three children: Mrs. Lee MEDINA, Hollywood, Fla.; S.R. WILLIAMSON (sic. Samuel Robert WILLIAMSON), Fairfield; and Col. Henry B. WILLIAMSON, Memphis, Tenn. Also surviving are four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and two brothers are deceased.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF HELEN B. WILLIAMSON DAVIS, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 30TH DAY OF APRIL, 1976, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF HELEN B. WILLIAMSON DAVIS, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 9TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1957, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT S.R. WILLIAMSON WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS AGAINST SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

RKT note: Buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield. She is buried with her first husband, Samuel P. WILLIAMSON (4th.119). Her second husband, Mac DAVIS, is also buried in Evergreen cemetery with his first wife, Josephine Florence GLOTFELTY DAVIS (they are in 2nd.183).
