Well known resident had spent entire life in this county
Mrs. George PARKER, 88, life-long resident of Jefferson county, passed away at 1:45 a.m. today at her home, 611 South Second street, following one week of serious illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday from Hoskins Funeral Home at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson of the Christian church.
Mrs. PARKER was born Sept. 6, 1850 in Cedar township. She lived for 61 years on the old homestead of her parents. In 1911 Mr. and Mrs. PARKER moved to Fairfield. George PARKER passed away Dec. 4, 1922.
She is survived by the following children:
June, at home; Mrs. Chris BLOUGH, and Mrs. F. W. McCLAIN of Fairfield; Mrs. Richard BURACKER (sic – BUREKER) and Mrs. B. P. STOUT of Chicago; Mrs. C. A. UNKRICH of Daytona Beach, Fla., Mrs. Wa lace (sic – Wallace) LIPE of Long Beach, Calif., and Ernest PARKER of Parma, Idaho.
There are aso (sic) 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren surviving.
