"Calvin Hoskins, born Pleasant Plain, Iowa, July 19 1852, died Aug 22 1929 age 77-1-2. Son of Ellis and Ruth Hoskins, one of a family of eleven children which grew to maturity. July 29 1911 married Rosetta B. Minor who survives. Birthright member Friends Church at Pleasant Plain. . . . . Spent all his life in Jefferson County. Leaves wife, three brothers, Nathan of Richland; Owen of Huston, Idaho; Melvin of Fowler, Kan.; 3 sisters, Anna Roberts and Ellen Singleton of Richland, and Abi Ellis of Fairfield . . . . .Four brothers, Lewis, Eli, Moses and Henry preceded him in death. . . . . "
