"Lindly M. Hoskins, son of James E. & Patsy Hoskins, born near Pleasant Plain, Iowa, Aug 22 1852, died Sept 11 1930 age 78 y. & 19 days. Married Mar. 6, 1890 Effie A. Gowey, Brighton, dau. of Fletcher & Ann Gowey; one daughter, Anna Dunn. Leaves wife and daughter, two granddaughters Marie and Lucile Dunn; 3 brothers: Willis Hoskins, Pomona, Calif., Olney and Joel Hoskins, Pleasant Plain; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Lawrence, Caldwell, Idaho, and Mrs. Ruth Williams, Pleasant Plain. Two brothers, John and Pleasant Hoskins, and two sisters, Mrs. Mahlon Roberts and Sarah Elmore have preceded him in death. Birthright member Friends Church . . . . ."
