"Obit. Benjamin R. Hoskins, son of Franklin and Louisa Ann Hoskins, born near Pleasant Plain, Iowa, Jan 2 1858, and died Apr 10 1929 aged 71-3-8. Nov 20 1884 married Betsy Pickering who preceded him in death only five days. Four children. . . . .two brothers, Albert of Burrock, and Luther A. of Codell, Kansas, and one aged uncle, Nathan Dillon of Union, Iowa. He bought and moved on to their little farm three miles s.w. of Pleasant Plain about 35 years ago, and lived there continuously until his death. He was a kind neighbor, honest and upright in all of his dealings. . . . ."
