"Whilden F. Heston, 85, farmer s.w. of Pleasant Plain, died Sunday near Fairfield. Burial in Friends Cemetery, Pleasant Plain. Omar Hoskins Funeral Home. Born Apr 17 1868 in Jefferson County, son of Henry and Katherine Jones Heston; married Nellie Haworth at Veo Feb 6 1890 at the L. W. Heston home. Celebrated 63d wedding anniversary Feb 6. . . . .Survivors include wife, one son Sylmon of Pleasant Plain; one grandson, Russell Heston of Indianapolis, Ind.; 3 great grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Will Howard, Mrs. Bert Brown, and Mrs. Roy Coffin of Des Moines, and one brother Elmer of Stockton, Calif. Preceded in death by four brothers and one sister."
