"Mrs. Sylman Heston, 57, died 12:30 a.m. today at her home in Pleasant Plain. Cora Raye Eck Heston, daughter of Frank and Lydia Ellyson Eck, born at Pleasant Plain Jan. 19 1893. All her life was spent in Pleasant Plain and community. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was married April 29 1915 to Sylman Heston who survives, as also a son, Russell Eugene, of Indianapolis, Ind.; a grandson, Russell Eugene Jr.; and granddaughter, Carole Jeanne and two brothers, William Jay Eck of Washington, D.C. and Ralph Eck of Newton. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, a twin sister, Mrs. Dora Bristow and Mrs. Edith Follen and Mrs. Mabel Edwards. Omar Hoskins Funeral Home in Brighton."
