Larry L. DEUTSCHLE

Larry L. DEUTSCHLE, 69, of Fairfield, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at his home surrounded by his children. He was born June 11, 1941, to Loraine and Margaret WILLIAMS DEUTSCHLE, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated from Fremont High School with the class of 1960.

On October 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Maryellen BENELL. They later divorced. He was married to Janice KUNTZ DUGGER on October 20, 1985, in Fairfield, Iowa.

He was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Packwood Lions. He worked at Sutherlands in Ottumwa, Kaiser in Hedrick, the Packwood Elevator, Wakes Feed in Packwood, and WLD Trucking of Fairfield until his retirement in 2008. He loved all cars (especially old cars), John Deere tractors, visiting with his friends and especially his family.

Larry is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters: Tami (Doug) DOAK of University Park, Tina (Deb) DEUTSCHLE of Columbia, Missouri; sons: Tony (Cheryl) DEUTSCHLE of Hedrick, and Todd (Misti) DEUTSCHLE of Agency; step-daughters: Tammy DUGGER of Tremont, Illinois, and Diane (Guy) MITCHELL of Brighton; sister: Nita (Ken) HACKMAN of Cresco, Iowa; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, Iowa, with the Reverend Sharon Benell officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will be Monday, January 10, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made in his name. The Fremont Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
