LuRose LEACH-ORMAN

LuRose LEACH-ORMAN, 87, formerly of Ottumwa, died December 29, 2010 at the Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

She was born April 4, 1923 in Eldon, MO to Chandos and Emma BLACKBURN MORRIS. She married Wayne M. LEACH April 19, 1942. He preceded her in death February 14, 1998. She married Joseph E. ORMAN August 20, 2002. He preceded her in death January 19, 2009.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she had worked for Everco for 18 years, retiring June 9, 1989.

She was a member of Willard St. United Methodist Church and Ottumwa Chapter #112 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and Bunco.

Surviving are a son, Joseph (Sharon) LEACH of Fairfield; a daughter, Christy (Dennis JOHNSTONE) CROSSER of Lyons, CO; a step-daughter, JoAnne (Vern) SLAYMAKER of Ottumwa; a step-son, David (Karen) ORMAN of Floris; two grandchildren, Michael LEACH of Fairfield, Kimberly (Frank) BROZ of San Francisco, CA; three step-grandchildren; a brother, Att MORRIS of Mission, TX and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher LEACH.

Her body has been cremated.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Luers officiating.

Memorials may be made to Willard St. United Methodist Church or Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.
