"Mrs. Margaret Edwards died 9:30 Mon, evening at her home in Brighton. Her maiden name was Rebecca Margaret Lynn, born in Jefferson County, Iowa, May 6 1848. Oct 23 1867 married Waltus Edwards and for many years the home was in Pleasant Plain. Mr. Edwards was a builder and contractor and built most of the new houses in Brighton 25 years ago. . . . .Eight children, 7 of whom survive the mother: Robert of Brighton; Roy of Iowa City; Otto of Muscatine; Mrs. Ethel Hill of Clarksdale, Ariz.; Mrs. Pearl Wiggins of Pleasant Plain; Mrs. Faye Reaves of Muscatine, and Mrs. Dassie Kittrell of Waterloo. The oldest child died in infancy. She is also survived by three brothers and three sisters: John Elliott Lynn of Seward, Nebr.; David Lynn of Nickerson, Kansas; Mrs. Dassah Weyand of Dodge City, Kansas; Mrs. Elizabeth Kiner of Garden City, Kansas; Mrs. Ollie Hodgens of Fairfield and Thomas Lynn of Pleasant Plain. Member Presbyterian - Methodist - Friends Churches. Buried by the side of her husband in the Friends Cemetery at Pleasant Plain."
