LIBERTYVILLE.

… Died, at her home in Kansas City, Mo., February 9th, 1903, Mrs. Effie S. CLARK, aged 33 years, 1 month and 21 days. The funeral took place from the home of her father, E. H. FINNEY of Leando, Rev. G.W. Barber of Libertyville officiating. Her remains were interred in Winsell cemetery, in Des Moines township, February 11th, 1903. Effie Sarah FINNEY, the second daughter and fourth child of E.H. and Hannah FINNEY, was born in Des Moines township, December 18th, 1869. She grew to womanhood in the county of her nativity and was married September 23d, 1888, to Albert COWAN. To this union two children were born, a son and a daughter. Her husband died March 8th, 1896. Her second marriage was with George CLARK of Leando, December 19th, 1899. From this union were born two children; both preceded their mother to the grave. A companion, son and daughter survive her. She was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Mt. Zion December 18th, 1888, and remained a believer in the saving power of Christ until her death.
