HERVEY, Byron William (sic) -- Byron Willard HERVEY, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated. Interment will be at Center Chapel Cemetery in rural Keosauqua.

A memorial has been established for Center Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Kathy Horn, 504 E. Washington Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. HERVEY was born June 22, 1930, in Scotland County, Mo., the son of Willard and Opal WOLF HERVEY. He married Florencie EWING March 30, 1948. They divorced in 1993. He married Marion SWANK in 1997.

Mr. HERVEY attended Keosauqua High School. He was a farm implement dealer for 46 years in Keosauqua.

He served on the Keosauqua Fire Department and Keosauqua City Council. He was a member of Van Buren Flying Club.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Marshia MOSENA and husband Bruce of Belle Vista, Alaska, Kathy HORN and husband Francis of Fairfield, Randy and wife Susan MOSINSKI of Keosauqua and Kevin and wife Gayle of Keosauqua; one daughter-in-law, Carol HERVEY of Birmingham; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Shirley HIGHTSHOE and husband David of Mount Ayr, Steve SWANK and wife Sue of Maloy and Kenneth and wife Jeanne of Monett, Mo.; four stepgrandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather; one sister, Valara FERRIS; and one son, Steve.

Byron Willard HERVEY

Byron Willard HERVEY, 80, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Keosauqua, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010.

A celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Center Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Keosauqua.

Memorials to Center Chapel Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 504 E. Washington Ave., Fairfield 52556.
