MRS. J. COFFIN DIED MONDAY
Funeral to be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

Mrs. John COFFIN, 54, passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. George BOUGHNER, 406 South 'D' St., yesterday evening. She had been in failing health for the last year and seriously ill for the past two months.

Services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. J. W. Stine. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. COFFIN was born Nov. 14, 1885, in Washington county. She was married on March 7, 1906.

Surviving relatives include her husband, six sons, and two daughters. The sons are Raymond COFFIN, R. R. 2, Milton COFFIN, Richland, John COFFIN, Willard L. COFFIN, and Lester COFFIN of Boise, Idaho, and Kenneth COFFIN of Fairfield. Daughters are Mrs. George BOUGHNER, Fairfield, and Mrs. Gayle WAUGH, of near Fairfield. One daughter, Blanche, passed away in 1918 (sic - 1919).

OBITUARY.

MRS. JOHN H. COFFIN

Mrs. Iva Myrtle COFFIN, the daughter of Martin Luther and Mary WATERS was born in Clay township, Jefferson county (sic - Washington Co.), Iowa, Nov. 14, 1885 and passed away at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 1939 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. George BOUGHNER, 406 South D street, Fairfield, Iowa, at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 25 days.

She was united in marriage to John H. COFFIN, March 7, 1906 and children were born to this union, one daughter, Blanche, preceding her mother in death. Three sisters married brothers and Mrs. COFFIN was the second to be called in death.

Mrs. COFFIN joined the Clay Congregational church in her young girlhood but after moving to the Pleasant Grove neighborhood united there with the Methodist church. She was a quiet, unassuming, home loving Christian woman, greatly beloved by her family and the many friends who will so sadly miss her.

She had been in ill health for more than a year, but was seriously ill two months ago and was taken to the Jefferson county hospital where she remained for some time. Then she was moved to the home of her daughter, Mrs. George BOUGHNER, where she had the loving care of her husband and children which she so much desired, but on Monday evening at 7:15 she passed away,.

She leaves to mourn her passing away, a beloved husband and eight children, Milton H. of Richland, Raymond E. of Fairfield, John C., Willard L. and Lester J. of Boise, Idaho, Mrs. George BOUGHNER of Fairfield, Mrs. Gayle WAUGH of near Glasgow and Kenneth at home, one sister Mrs. Elmer COFFIN of Richland and a brother, Harry WATERS of Pomona, California, also a foster sister, Mrs. Minnie MORROW, a missionary working in California.

Funeral services were held in the Hoskins Funeral Home in Fairfield at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. W. Stine. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
