Mrs. JORDAN, 93, Taken In Death; Rites Saturday

Mrs. Mary M. JORDAN, 93, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, died at 1:15 a.m. today at her home at 407 E. Burlington.

A member of a pioneer Jefferson County family, Mrs. JORDAN had been ill for the past four and a half months.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Jordan residence, 407 E. Burlington. Burial will be in Fairfield Evergreen Cemetery. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Mrs. JORDAN was born in Fairfield Oct. 24, 1874, the daughter of John and Mary Hawley WHITACRE MARCY. Her father came to the Fairfield area from Southbridge, Mass., in the 1850's.

Mrs. JORDAN was married to Arthur G. JORDAN June 8, 1904. He preceded his wife in death July 22, 1963. Surviving are one son, Scott JORDAN, Fairfield, and two granddaughters.

Mrs. JORDAN was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and Chapter HA, PEO Sisterhood. She was the last surviving member of her family. One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
