LILES, Helen Louise -- Helen Louise LILES, 81, of Eldon, died at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Hospice of Wapello/Davis Counties in Ottumwa.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eldon Assembly of God, with the Rev. John Cooper and the Rev. George Edgerly officiating. The body has been cremated. A private burial of cremains will be in Iowaville Cemetery near Selma.
Memorials to Eldon Assembly of God may be brought to the service or may be mailed to the family at 406 First St., Eldon 52554.
Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
Mrs. LILES was born Dec. 5, 1928, near Agency, the daughter of Frank and Mabel ISAACSON ROTH. She married Lloyd Gene LILES March 18, 1951.
Mrs. LILES graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1945. She earned her licensed practical nursing degree at Iowa Technical College, now Indian Hills Community College, as a member of the school's first graduating class. She worked as a nurse 26 years in the Ottumwa Regional Health Center obstetrics department.
Mrs. LILES was a member of Eldon Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Martin LILES and wife Audrey of Muscatine; one daughter, Marcia MORRIS of Mission, Texas; five grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, Douglas Gene LILES; her parents; one brother, Bernard ROTH; and three sisters, Kathryn WILLIAMS, Margie SCALISE and Betty SHAFFER.
