BUCH, Lloyd C. -- Lloyd C. BUCH, 86, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

BUCH, Lloyd Constant -- Lloyd Constant BUCH, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Jefferson County Health Center.

A funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Kneemiller officiating. Burial will be in St. Alphonusus Catholic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, with prayers at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or the Lloyd Buch family for Catholic Charities. Memorials may be sent to 215D Southgate Circle, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. BUCH was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Keota, the son of Leo and Geneva ADRIAN BUCH. He married Catherine COEN Oct. 16, 1948, in Burlington.

Mr. BUCH's main occupation was farming. He also sold real estate and was county weed commissioner for three years.

Mr. BUCH was a veteran of World War II.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and an officer in all four offices of the Holy Name Society. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4092 and the Parish Council. He was a member of the building committee for DeCoursey Hall. Mr. BUCH sang in the church choir for years and was on the senior citizens board for four years.

His hobbies were collecting information about his genealogy and collecting model tractors. He also enjoyed sports, friends, traveling and dancing.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Mary MORRONE of Bella Vista, Ark., Ron BUCH and wife Marsha of St. Charles, Alan BUCH and wife Kim of Charlotte, N.C., and Theresa Ann SMALL of Fairfield; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandcildren; and four siblings, Leonard BUCH of Fairfield, Keith BUCH of Fairfield, Evalee MICKEY of North Liberty and Donna SHELANGOSKI of Springfield, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jerry BUCH; one brother, Gene BUCH; and one sister, Bernadine SHEETZ.
