FOX, Robert -- Robert FOX, 58, of Brighton, died early today, Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

FOX, Robert V. -- Robert V. FOX, 58, of Brighton, died early Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brighton United Church, with the Rev. Sallie Graves officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery.

Open visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. Friday at Gould Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials to Brighton United Church may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 1720 335th St., Brighton 52540.

Mr. FOX was born April 16, 1952, in Washington, the son of Vernon S. and Lavondia L. SIMPSON FOX.

Mr. FOX spent his early life on a farm north of Ainsworth. In 1961, his family moved to Brighton where he attended Brighton Elementary and then graduated from Washington High School in 1970. He worked summer jobs at Lake Darling. Mr. FOX suffered head injuries in an automobile wreck soon after high school graduation. He worked at the Washington Community Developmental Center in Washington.

Mr. FOX attended Brighton United Church.

He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include four brothers, Ron FOX of Brighton, Randy FOX of Brighton, Roy FOX of Traer and Raymond FOX of Ainsworth; and caregiver and friend, Warren Etter of Brighton.
