Cleo BOWERMASTER hospital patient

Cleo BOWERMASTER, 401 W. Hempstead, suffered a stroke early Friday morning while visiting a friend at Burlington.

She is a patient in the Burlington Medical Center, room 358.

Mrs. BOWERMASTER left Thursday evening by bus to visit her longtime friend, Wilma Erickson, and to attend the celebration "Steam Boat Days" in Burlington.

She was not feeling well when she retired Thursday night and summoned Mrs. Erickson about 4 a.m. Friday because of her illness. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

At present, according to doctor reports, it appears she will be a patient at the Burlington Medical Center for approximately a week, and then transferred to a hospital in Des Moines for therapy treatment.

Her son, Jim BOWERMASTER, Des Moines, was called to Burlington Friday because of his mother's illness.
