KNOX, Carroyl A. -- Carroyl A. KNOX, 78, of Otumwa, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. James Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery at Fremont.

Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to Davis Street Christian Church.

Mrs. KNOX was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Ottumwa, the daughter of D. Ray and R. Meryl WHITMER STEELE. She married James F. KNOX Nov. 26, 1952. He died Jul 31, 1998.

Mrs. KNOX graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1950. She had worked for McGregor Furniture and at Ottumwa Regional Health Center for lifeline. She also had worked in real estate and helped her husband farm.

Mrs. KNOX was a member of Davis Street Christian Church.

She enjoyed square dancing, in several locations including Fairfield, and round dancing.
