DEATH TAKES JOHN S. PENCE
Services From Lockridge Home Tomorrow; Burial In Illinois
John Samuel PENCE, 77, father of Mrs. Ernest WALKER of this city, passed away last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence MICKEY, near Lockridge. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning from the MICKEY home in charge of Rev. Cochran. The body will then be taken to Rozetta, Ill., the old home, where services and burial will take place at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
Mr. PENCE suffered a stroke some time ago and has been in a serious condition for four weeks. He has made his home with his children for several years. His wife preceded him in death April 29, 1927. [Note: She was Ann Eliza CARR.]
He is survived by the following children: Charles Elmer of Rome, James Arnold of Wellman (comma omitted) Birdie Eldora MICKEY of Lockridge, Mrs. Ernest WALKER of Fairfield and Martha Pearl CLARK of Wayland. He also leaves a brother, Dexter PENCE of Minooka, Ill.; a half brother, Edgar MARBLE of Rozetta, Ill, and a half sister, Cora M. SYFERT in Montana.
