DEATH CLAIMS JAMES A. SHAW

Death came suddenly this morning to James A. SHAW, well known Fairfield resident and long-time factory employee.

SHAW had been in his usual health earlier this morning before he went to leave his home about 8:30 a.m., and fell down the front steps. He was carried back in the house and was able to talk with the doctor momentarily before he passed away.

Coroner Jack Raymond was called and later announced there will be no inquest. However, he said an autopsy was to be performed on the body to determine the cause of death.

Last rites will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Weston Behner home, with Dr. C. R. Douglass in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

James A. SHAW, 67, was born March 22, 1885, at Peoria, Ind., the son of the late William and Martha CAIN SHAW. He was united in marriage on June 21, 1908, to Anna ANDERSON who survives. The wedding took place in Fairfield.

SHAW had made his home in this community for over 45 years, and had been a pattern maker at the Dexter company for over 30 years. He was a member of the Elks lodge and the Modern Woodmen.

Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Weston E. STEWART, Fairfield; two grandchildren; one brother, Harry SHAW, Wabash, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Eva RAMSEY, Bunker Hill, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
