HERVEY, Florencie May EWING -- Florencie May EWING HERVEY, 82, formerly of Keosauqua, died at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. ellis andrews (lower case sic) officiating. Cremation will follow the service. A private committal service with the family will be held at a later date at Forbes Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials to Forbes Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to Kathy Horn, 504 E. Washington Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. HERVEY was born March 11, 1928, in Kilbourne, the daughter of Martin F. and Florence GRADE EWING. She married Byron W. HERVEY March 30, 1948, in Fairfield. They divorced in 1993.

Mrs. HERVEY attended rural country schools and graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1945. She worked at the Sugar Bowl and Downard's Cafe in Keosauqua. She also was a nurse's aide at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center. She retired in 1993 after 30 years as the bookkeeper for Hervey Implement Company in Keosauqua.

Survivors include two daughters, Marshia MOSENA and husband Bruce of Bella Vista, Ark., and Kathy HORN of Fairfield; three sons, Steve HERVEY and wife Carol of Birmingham, Randy HERVEY and Kevin HERVEY and wife Gayle of Keosauqua; two sisters, Ruth CLARK of Keosauqua and Reva McROY of Bloomfield; and one brother, Lee EWING of Stockport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one half brother, Wayne GRADE; one brother, William EWING; and one sister in infancy.
