Sofia RAJAMETS died at 85

Sofia RAJAMETS, 85, native of Estonia, died Wednesday at the Parkview Care Center where she had been a resident for seven years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church.

Sofia RAJAMETS was born July 26, 1899, on the Island of Dago, Estonia.

In 1944 she escaped from her homeland to Germany. In 1949 she came to Fairfield which has been her home since.

Survivors include a daughter, Liivi HARPER, Fairfield; two grandchildren, Bob HARPER, Bedford, Texas, and Karin GOOSEY, Burlington; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. RAJAMETS was the last of seven brothers and sisters. She had been a member of the First Lutheran Church for 23 years.
