Perry CLINKENBEARD was found dead in a passenger coach in the railroad yards at Rock Island, Ill., Friday afternoon about 2 o'clock. A car cleaner saw him sitting upright in a seat, spoke to him, but received no response, and then discovered that he was dead. Mr. CLINKENBEARD was a breakman (sic - brakeman) in the employ of the Rock Island company. He had a passenger run known as the Firefly, which ended at Rock Island, and he generally spent the two or three hours his train lay there in one of the coaches. Death came to him suddenly and without warning, probably from an affection of the heart. He had been in the employ of the Rock Island company for twenty five years or more and was a trusted man. He was twice married and his second wife, formerly Miss Jessie EDWARDS, with whom he was united August 27th 1907, survives him. The body was interred in this city Sunday afternoon, Rev. Lewis Mendenhall conducting the funeral service.
