SARAH TROUT SCHWARTZ

Sarah TROUT SCHWARTZ, daughter of Samuel and Katherine TROUT, was born August 5, 1853, at Kitchener, Canada, where she resided until at the age of 16 years she moved to Jefferson county with her parents where she has made her home the past 67 years.

She departed this life May 27, 1937, at her home in Libertyville, Iowa, at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage to William Henry SCHWARTZ in the year 1875 and to this union were born eleven children.

She is survived by the following children: John SCHWARTZ, of Ithaca, Neb.; Mrs. Frank HOFFMAN of Birmingham; Mrs. S. L. SWARTZ of Keosauqua; George SCHWARTZ of Libertyville; Mrs. Roy MILLER of Commerce, Ia.; Grover SCHWARTZ of Perlee, Ia; William SCHWARTZ of Fairfield; Alva SCHWARTZ of Wichita, Kansas.

She is also survived by thirty-six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry SCHWARTZ and two daughters, Mrs. Eva MORROW and Mrs. Nellie SCOVEL.

She united with the Baptist church at an early age and remained a true and faithful member thoughout her life.

She will be greatly nissed by all who knew her. Her life was full of activity and nothing was too great for her to undertake. This made living a pleasure to herself as well as those who came in contact with her. Ever mindful of other, a loving person known far and near, has gone to her great reward.
