MISS CUNNINGHAM PASSES AWAY HERE TODAY

Miss Mamie CUNNINGHAM, well known Fairfield resident passed away at 11 a.m. today at the home of her sister, Mrs. C. J. FULTON, South Main street.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet.

CUNNINGHAM SERVICES ARE ON FRIDAY
To be in charge of Rev. SAWYERS and Rev. Gable at 2:30 p.m.

Funeral services for Miss Ida May CUNNINGHAM will be held Friday, Dec. 2 at the Weston Behner Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Services will be in charge of the Rev. Mott R. SAWYERS of Centerville and the Rev. M.A. Gable, pastor of the Fairfield Methodist church. Dr. SAWYERS is a cousin of Miss CUNNINGHAM.

Ida May CUNNINGHAM was born in Troy, Davis county, Iowa on the 30th day of July, 1857 and departed this life at Fairfield, Iowa on the 30th day of November, 1938 at eleven o'clock in the forenoon aged eighty-one years and four months.

She was the eldest child of Pliny Fisk CUNNINGHAM and his wife Marietta SHOEMAKER CUNNINGHAM. Early in life she moved with her parents to Centerville, Iowa where she grew to womanhood. She became a resident of Fairfield, Iowa in 1899. In 1878 she united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Centerville, Iowa and was a faithful communicant of that denomination during the remainder of her life. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice L. FULTON (sic. Beatrice was first married to Charles LEGGETT but was widowed by him. She remarried to Charles FULTON) and Mrs. D. B. MOSS, both of Fairfield, Iowa, a brother, Pearl CUNNINGHAM, having preceded her in death. Also surviving are her nephew Richard C. LEGGETT, of Fairfield, Iowa and three nieces: Mrs. Ruth E. McKEE of St. Paul, Minnesota; Dr. Elizabeth A. LEGGETT of Kent, Ohio and Mrs. George SHAMBAUGH of Chicago, Illinois.

Her kind, unselfish and pleasing personality made her many friends. She was exceptionally devoted and loyal to her friends and relatives and her genuine interest in their welfare made her beloved by those who knew her. Her love of children and of flowers evidenced her fine character.
