SANER, Gerald E. -- Gerald E. SANER, 60, of San Francisco, Calif., died from lung cancer Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, in San Francisco.

A graveside service and interment of cremains will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Douglas Harding officiating.

Memorials to Fellows Cemetery may be taken to the service or may be mailed to P.O. Box 513, Keosauqua 52565.

Local arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home of Keosauqua.

Mr. SANER was born March 1, 1949, in San Francisco, the son of Keith and Lettie HENKLE SANER.

Mr. SANER lived most of his life in California, but spent many summers with his grandmother Cecil HENKLE and uncle Esco HENKLE on the family farm south of Keosauqua. He was a printer for Bank of America and Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 42 years.

Mr. SANER enjoyed spending time on the family farm, bowling, fishing, gambling and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Maria; three daughters, Toni, Rhea and Rhena; one son, Michael; three grandchildren; his mother; and one sister, Marilyn SANER -- all of the San Francisco area.
