DEATH TAKES JAMES TRAIL

James William TRAIL, 63, who resides at 207 W. Madison street, passed away at 7 a.m. Sunday at the University hospital in Iowa City. He had been in poor health the past five years and seriously ill the past two weeks. He entered the hospital September 8.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. L.H. Scheerer in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. TRAIL was born August 18, 1884, in Jefferson county, Iowa, the son of the late Mortimer and Laura M. MCKEE TRAIL. He married Edith May GREEN on December 25, 1928 in Fairfield. He was a farmer most of his life.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sister (sic. sisters), Mrs. Milo COX and Mrs. Charles RUBY, both of Fairfield, and several nieces and nephews.
