DALTON, Gloria -- Gloria DALTON, 54, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at home.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous and may be mailed to the Dalton Family at 807 W. Broadway Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. DALTON was born Oct. 30, 1955, the daughter of Michael and Rita KITCH VAN DER SNICK. She married Steven DALTON June 5, 1992, in Brighton.

Mrs. DALTON lived in Fairfield all her life. She graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1973. She then completed nurses' training at Indian Hills Community College. She was a homemaker and a licensed practical nurse at Nelson Nursing Home for 14 years.

She enjoyed putting together puzzles, reading, being with her pets and playing cards with her family.

Survivors include her mother; her husband; two daughters, Shannon and Shelly HINKLE of Fairfield; and one brother, Jim SHANK of Woodbury, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant brother.
